Hey lady,
Let’s talk about something they don’t tell you in movies. It’s the truth behind those so-called "invisible bruises," the ones you can't see but feel in every part of your body.
For so long, you’ve probably felt like your body has been working against you. Maybe you have a constant headache, a knot in your stomach you can't get rid of, or a sudden flash of panic that comes out of nowhere. You might have told yourself you're just being too sensitive or that you should be "over it by now." You may even feel betrayed by your own body, wondering why it won't just calm down.
I’m here to tell you that’s not the truth. The truth is, your body is your greatest ally. It's not broken; it's a testament to your resilience.
The Taboo Topic: Your Body Remembers
The trauma you experienced—whether it was from a partner, a parent, a sibling, or a friend—isn't just a memory stored in your mind. It’s a physical experience that’s been hard-wired into your nervous system.
For survivors of narcissistic abuse, this is the unspoken part of the story. The gaslighting, the emotional manipulation, the constant state of hypervigilance, and the cycle of love-bombing and devaluation create a chronic stress response. Your nervous system went into a constant state of alert to keep you safe in an unsafe environment. This isn't a flaw; it's a brilliant, albeit exhausting, survival mechanism.
Your brain has three main parts that work together to keep you safe :
The Amygdala: Your brain's "smoke detector." It's constantly scanning for threats. After trauma, it can become overactive, leading to that feeling of always being on edge.
The Hippocampus: Your brain's "memory librarian." Its job is to file away memories with context. Trauma can disrupt this process, which is why memories can feel fragmented or like they're happening all over again.
The Prefrontal Cortex (PFC): Your "wise adult." This is the part responsible for logic, problem-solving, and emotional regulation. In moments of stress, this part can "go offline," leaving you in a reactive state.
This is why your reactions make sense. Your brain was just trying to protect you.
From Victim to Expert: Reclaiming Your Body’s Story
The journey from Hell to Heaven starts with a single, powerful shift: moving from a place of shame and confusion to one of curiosity and empowerment.
The first step in my program, The Trauma Detox Accelerator, (Coming Soon) is to become an expert on your own body’s signals.
You’ll learn to identify what we call "micro-pals"—those tiny, almost imperceptible stress responses that keep you in a state of high alert. Think of it like a sensitive car alarm. The goal isn’t to get rid of the alarm, but to learn its language so you can respond with calm curiosity instead of panic. This process of awareness is the first step in building a bridge of trust between your mind and your body, transforming it from a source of shame to a source of data for your healing.
You are not broken. You were just waiting for yourself to return. Your body has been waiting for you to listen to it, and by doing so, you can begin to make conscious, powerful choices that align with the Rising Phoenix you are becoming.
Let’s be honest for a second.
For too long, you’ve been living in a kind of silent hell. A place of hyper-vigilance, self-doubt, and survival mode that was never of your own making. You've been carrying the weight of a story written for you by someone else, and you've been doing it with a strength you've probably never given yourself credit for.
But what if you didn’t have to live that story anymore? What if you could finally reclaim your voice, your power, and the beautiful, authentic person you've always been underneath it all?
